WHAT IS IT?
Water activated tape or WAT
Also known as gummed tape the is a paper tape with a starch based glue backing that gets activated or sticky with the application of water. Used on a cardboard box it can be disposed of in the same recycle stream as a cardboard box unlike plastic tape which is not recyclable. The aggressive glue bonds to both virgin and recycled cardboard fibres, even in dusty environments ( hello Dubai!!)

How do I use it?
Pretty simple actually, cut the tape to the length you want, then wet the back of the tape with a wet sponge or paint brush and stick to the shipping box.
We have a simple tape dispenser that fits any packaging station. Used like a regular tape dispenser, the only difference is a soft roller that applies moisture to the tape backing as you pull the tape out to the length you require.
For higher volume orders we have dispenser thats perfect for warehouse or store use.
